Childhood Dance Memories

Spinning round and round on the hardwood floor, listening to my dad's records, I was happiest when dancing. With the summer breeze blowing through the window while barefoot in my favorite dress, this is what freedom felt like.  But nestle among the dark corners of our memories are other events and feeling that we sometimes put on a shelf. While dealing with the wounds of the inner child, it is ok to also focus on moments when life felt lighter and easier to experience joy.
